The Ventek WinProbe is the only
stand alone capacitance probe that is currently available on the market and
as such it is an ideal tool for managing water scheduling on smaller
properties. Its software is simple and user friendly having been
developed in consultation with farmers in South Africa. The probe
itself consists of 5 sensors at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 60cm and an internal
continual data logging hard drive that can be downloaded by removing the
probe from its access tube and attaching it to a computer.
Alternatively, new software is available that enables in situ
downloading via a palm held computer.
